Travel Grant Application Deadline
for Late Breaker Abstract Submitters:
5 September 2017
ECTMIH2017 happily offers travel grants to young researchers aged up to 35 (on 15 October 2017), wishing to participate actively in the conference. Applications by scientists from the South as well as the North are welcomed.
Funding sources include the Belgian Ministry of Development Cooperation, the Flemish Government, ITM and other sponsors but all grants are awarded through the same process, reflecting the spirit of a global community. Applicants thus do not need to specify the funding source.
The travel grants will fully or partly cover the congress fee, (low-fare) travel and hotel costs based on actual costs and receipts. The travel grant is conditional to complete registration and submission of an approved abstract, preferably for an oral session.
The scientific committee will rank applications in function of scientific quality and relevance, personal motivation and availability of funds. Partial applications (e.g. either travel, hotel or conference fee) will be accepted and may be given priority.
The travel grants are limited in number and will be awarded on a competitive basis. We urge all participants to try securing (partial) funding from project-related, programmatic, institutional or other sources.
Applicants who submitted a Late Breaker Abstract and who fullfil the above listed requirements are asked to fill in the online form by 5 September. The application must be motivated and accompanied by a cost estimate.
A cost estimate template is available here.
